#LIDFLASH | EMIL KIRJAS
We need to bring European standards in #Macedonia as soon as possible, so that Macedonian citizens live better. Accession negotiations for full EU membership should start immediately, i.e. at the first next meeting of the European Council.
That is the unanimous conclusion of the Congress of European Liberals - ALDE Party – Liberals and Democrats for Europe.
If the accession methodology will be enhanced if should be for the process to be better and faster. To that end, aiming at achieving European standards, the Liberal Democrat Party (LDPMakedonija) urged its partners to enable faster access to the EU budget, not only to the pre-accession funds.
There are some thoughts that the European Economic Area (EEA) and the membership in the Common Market (with freedom of movement of good, capital, services and labor) provide that direct access to the European budget.
But, that should go in parallel and it can in no case replace the country's accession process and full EU membership.
